  • TURN THE WATER OFF at the source (washer, faucet, toilet, water filtration system) or at the main shut off valve to the whole house if you see you have an active water leak or hear the water running. Or if all else fails, turn off the main valve at the meter pit (usually in the front yard). If you cannot find it or reach the valve or the pit is full of water, call the Indianapolis Water Company emergency number 631-1431 for emergency shut off.
  • Call an experienced structural dry-out specialist such as A&D Hydra Clean. Please call right now to speak with an A&D Technician -- on call 24 hours a day with an average response time of one hour or less from the time you call.

  • Take initial photos to visually record “fresh” damage. We will also be taking pictures upon our arrival and throughout the dry-out and reconstruction process. If taking pictures requires wading through standing water wait until we arrive. We will take the photos for you and supply a disk of pictures for you and your insurance adjustor.
