Steps to make the insurance process easier (and help you maximize your claim!)

    1. Call A&D Hydra Clean at 317-255-5658. We will answer all your questions (for free!) and start the process of returning your life to normal.
      We will work with your adjustor in fairly assessing the validity of your claim. It is in the best interest of you,  your insurance company, and A&D Hydra Clean to meet with you and your adjustor especially the first time. This is likely the only time he or she will be in your home to assess the extent of damage and potential costs. Please inform us of the day and time we can all meet together.
    2. Call your insurance company’s claims office.
      Discuss your loss with your insurance representative to see if it is covered. Do not be afraid to challenge them if they say it is not. Flood waters (unless you have flood insurance), slow leaks, seepage, or inadequate maintenance type losses are usually not covered. Generally most water losses are covered, but there are some exceptions depending on the source, length of time, and other causative factors.
      Verify your deductible  from your policy, agent, or claims representative.
    3. Document your loss
      Take photos and document all damage to your property and contents (if it can be done safely). In order to be thorough we also will keep a photo journal throughout the process.
    4. Take Immediate Action!
      If the claims office representative tells you to either wait for the adjustor to contact you or instructs you to get an estimate or two, those instructions almost never represent the true intentions of your insurance company. They (and we) strongly recommend taking immediate action to minimize damage and expense.

BE PREPARED!

    • One of the best ways to help with insurance is to be prepared with adequate coverage.
    • Talk with your agent about what is best for your home or business.
    • Make sure you have Sewer and Drain backup coverage (includes sump pumps and floor drains). This relatively inexpensive coverage may be an endorsement or a rider (check with your agent before you have a loss – not the day of).
    • Check to see if you have a cap (maximum dollar amount the insurance will cover on this type of loss). You may want to talk to your agent about increasing your cap especially if you recently remodeled or finally finished the basement. If you lost everything, would the cap plus your obligatory deductible be enough to cover the cost of labor, materials, and contents restoration and/or replacement?

Since moving into our home a year ago, we’ve poured almost $140,000 into repairs. We bought a flipped house—huge mistake—and it’s been one issue after another ever since. I went back and counted my receipts: we’ve worked with 27 different contractors. Twenty-seven!

And out of all of them, A&D is hands-down the best.

We had storm damage that caused water to seep into the house. A&D stepped in and handled everything: they removed our windows and floors (new windows installed by another company, Window World), dried out and boarded up the area, replaced drywall, retextured the ceiling, and repainted the interior. I watched one of their guys, Floyd, walk around with a flashlight inspecting every inch of the ceiling after painting.

Kyle (the boss) and Eric (his crew chief - the guy in the field) worked closely with me to make sure every single detail was right. And Tricia, their office manager, is a total gem. She’s hilarious, warm, and made the whole process easier.

I genuinely love this company. After everything we’ve been through with this house, A&D is the one team I continue to trust again and again. And their work is very reasonably priced: they don’t scam you like some of the other local emergency repair companies that I’ve worked with. Having an ejector pit back up is awful, but everyone I worked with through A&D Hydra Clean has been amazing. I'm very impressed with the quality of the work done so far, and how the whole team is careful to explain things thoroughly to someone like myself with little experience. Highly recommended.
A&D Hydra Clean to the rescue! After engaging ServPro to clean up a sewage backup in my basement, and being highly disappointed with their lack of care, they made the mess worse. I called Kyle with A&D and he had someone out to do the job the RIGHT way fast. Using botanical, non toxic cleaners, taking care to not cause further contamination, and removing any and all damaged items from my basement. They were methodical, fast, and thorough. To say I was a little neurotic about the clean up was an understatement since this was sewage, and we are in the middle of COVID, but James and Alden put me at ease and handled the clean up in a professional and safe manner. I have nothing but good things to say!
